Took part in workshop in July 05 in Switzerland
A) My working situation:
I am working since 1998 in an office in charge with a cooperation programme between Switzerland and Senegal in capacity building for rural people through education, training and information.

B) My challenge for the workshop:

Our team is expected to identify producers organisations or public and private institutions providing training and help them to develop new strategies and approaches to face the new challenges on skills development needs in rural areas. The program has achieved interesting results on changing the training paradigm and developing a new conceptual framework. But these changes are happening slowly and the question is how long will it take to achieve a global change. When do local authorities and rural organizations will fully take the matter in hand and build sustainable systems of education and training for rural people ?. We hope to have during the workshop helpful exchange with participants meeting the same challenge.

C) My contribution

My contribution will not be focussed on a specific topic but will be opened to a range of questions related to our experience on SRDA : training and development programs, designing strategies of training putting the demand first…

D) My topical interests:

The following topics are one of the main issues our program is dealing with :
1.Organizing Demand and Supply of Trainings
2. How to build a sustainable mechanism to finance SDRA. It is well known that most of training systems in rural areas in developing countries are essentially supported and organized by donors. A big challenge is to fond an alternative to such a situation.
3.Working with migrants
